- You may contact us at privacy@sparklechristmaslights.com about your information.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Sparkle Christmas Lights (“Sparkle,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, retains, and discloses personal information through sparklechristmaslights.com, our quote and installation-request forms, and related communications about our services.

Please do not submit sensitive information in a notes field. We do not need Social Security numbers, government-identification numbers, financial-account credentials, medical information, or similar sensitive data to prepare a Christmas-light quote.
3. Where information comes from
We collect personal information:
- directly from you when you complete a form, contact us, or purchase services;
- automatically from your browser or device when you use the site;
- from advertising, analytics, hosting, security, communications, and scheduling providers that support our website and services; and

4. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- generate and explain planning estimates;
- respond to questions and communicate about a quote or installation request;
- review property details, prepare a final written quote, and schedule or provide services;
- maintain customer and service records;
- send service-related messages, including scheduling, weather, access, maintenance, takedown, and billing communications;
- operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the website and forms;
- measure advertising performance and understand which campaigns produce quote and installation requests;
- detect spam, fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- enforce agreements and protect our rights, customers, property, and safety; and
- comply with legal, tax, accounting, insurance, and regulatory obligations.
6. How we disclose information
We may disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

You may request information about the specific third parties that received personal information from us when applicable law provides that right.
7. Sale, targeted advertising, and profiling
- Sale: We do not sell personal information for money and do not provide customer lists to data brokers.
- Targeted advertising: We currently use advertising technology primarily to attribute and measure conversions. We do not currently use website-submitted contact information to build third-party retargeting audiences. If that practice changes, we will update this policy and provide any opt-out mechanism required by applicable law.
- Profiling: We do not use personal information for automated profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects concerning a person.
8. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. The retention period depends on whether you remain a prospective customer or become a customer, the length of the service relationship, warranty or maintenance needs, recordkeeping practices, dispute and fraud prevention, and legal, tax, accounting, insurance, and regulatory requirements.
When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, de-identify, or aggregate it. Backup copies may remain for a limited period until routinely overwritten.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, network, database, or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, government-identification numbers, or other highly sensitive information through an ordinary form, email, or text message unless we specifically provide a secure method and request it.
10. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies to Sparkle, you may have the right to:
- confirm whether we process personal information about you;
- access or obtain a copy of that information;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request deletion of information, subject to legal exceptions;
- request a list of specific third parties that received personal information, where applicable;
- opt out of a sale, qualifying targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling; and
- appeal our decision concerning a privacy request.
How to submit a request
Email privacy@sparklechristmaslights.com with the subject line Privacy Request. Describe the right you want to exercise and identify the email address or phone number you used with Sparkle.
We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request. The verification method will depend on the nature and sensitivity of the request. Please do not send a copy of a government ID unless we specifically determine that it is necessary and ask for it.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Where Oregon’s consumer privacy law applies, that period is generally 45 days, subject to a permitted extension.
Appeals
To appeal a denied privacy request, email privacy@sparklechristmaslights.com with the subject line Privacy Appeal within 30 days after receiving our decision. Include the original request and explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered.
Authorized agents
Where applicable law permits an authorized agent to submit a request, the agent may use the same email address. We may request commercially reasonable proof of the agent’s authority and may need to verify the consumer’s identity directly.
Universal opt-out signals
We do not currently sell personal information or use website data for targeted advertising as those terms are defined by applicable state privacy laws. If our practices change, we will update this policy and implement legally required opt-out controls, including recognition of qualifying universal opt-out signals where required.
Marketing choices
You may ask us to stop promotional email or text messages at any time. Service-related communications—such as replies to your inquiry, quote updates, scheduling, weather delays, maintenance, takedown, or account messages—are not promotional messages and may continue while reasonably necessary.
11. Children
The website and our services are intended for adults arranging services for a property. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.
12. Third-party links and services
The site may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, not this policy. Review those notices before providing personal information to a third party.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technology, vendors, or legal obligations change. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide any additional notice or obtain any consent required by applicable law.
